Can anyone recommend me an online store for wallpaper? I just found one where the prices were around the $600 mark for a 10m roll!!!!! So would like some more economically priced ones if possible!
Thanks!

Thanks! Re: Wallpaper 3Jan 06, 2009 1:53 pm I suppose it depends on what colours and styles you are looking for. I like some of the porters paints wallpapers. I'm not sure if you can order online, but I'm sure their website might have some info. The wallpaper we brought was $130 per roll and we need 2 rolls for one wall!

Would you believe i have a book that i write only website addresses in as you never know when you may need them again and you can never remember the names.
http://www.signatureprints.com.au http://www.frenchdressing.com.au http://www.eurowalls.com.au I hope this helps you, Euro Walls may be in the price range that you are looking for. I am not sure what you are looking for in terms of colour, theme & style but price is one i sure would be looking at too. They had a great selection and at great prices too. The ones we liked were only $88 a roll!! Re: Wallpaper 9Jan 09, 2009 8:34 am What is the size of a roll? Does it come in one standard size or multiple?
How much area does it cover? Is it easy to stick it to the wall? Can a newbie do it? And can someone suggest a good store to goto in melbourne? Sorry .. so many questions.. Our Entertainer - http://ausdreamhome.blogspot.com/ Re: Wallpaper 10Jan 09, 2009 11:45 am They were pretty much a standard size (or what I have found to be standard) which is 10m long and 53cm wide.
As for installation I have no clue. Apparently though there are paper backed and cotton back and the cotton is easier and can be peeled off. I would get a professional to do it as I wouldn't want to stuff it up! That is great 11Jan 09, 2009 3:05 pm I am glad you like Eurowalls their website looks fantastic but i have never been into their store. Not even sure if they have a store in Qld. You will have to post a picture of the wallpapr when you get it. I would love to see what you choose. Re: That is great 12Jan 09, 2009 3:08 pm maurita I am glad you like Eurowalls their website looks fantastic but i have never been into their store. I’m meeting with the owner in a few months when things settle down for me. HOME- is where your story begins! Eurowalls 15Jan 13, 2009 2:30 pm Isn't it funny, i have pages and pages of website links etc that when i come across them i just jot them down. My husband always says why do i need to keep all of this info and i say, you never know when you may need it.
And look, it has been useful for two people on here, so you know what i am going to be rubbing in my hubbies nose. Re: Wallpaper 16Jan 13, 2009 3:01 pm satskape And can someone suggest a good store to goto in melbourne? Sorry .. so many questions.. Hi Satskape I also have done my fair share of wallpaper hunting...not for the faint hearted you almost need this special designer badge to be even allowed to walk into one of these shops (maybe I could borrows Michelle's ) Anywho...I discovered that Grant Dorman in Hawthorn have a fantastic selection of the most beautiful wallpaper, from the top design brands. While you are there, look at the most stunning fabrics, lamps and other accessories. definately a worth while visit. Ladyice put me onto the shop. They do sell to the public but you dont get the discount that interior decorators get. I am buying my wallpaper from here but I think I will get a specialist to put it up for me here the link... http://www.grantdorman.com.au/ Mrs B Re: Wallpaper 17Jan 13, 2009 8:15 pm I was in the bristol paint and decorator centre in Greensborough during the week, and they have books and books of lovely wallpaper. For me it was a lot less daunting than some of the wallpaper/ fabric specialists (and I would guess substantially cheaper) Re: Wallpaper 18Jan 13, 2009 10:00 pm Sharee For me it was a lot less daunting than some of the wallpaper/ fabric specialists (and I would guess substantially cheaper) So true Sharee! Why are these places so intimidating A funny story, when I walked into Grant Dorman, a lovely lady greeted me at the door and asked me if I was a designer, I said no, then she asked me who was my Interior Decorator still standing at the door and without missing a beat, I told her Michelle was my designer and I was instructed to look at the books and she will order then and by the way, she lives in NSW and I found her on a forum....PHEW! I was then allowed in the shop Mrs B Re: Wallpaper 20Jan 14, 2009 6:32 am It's strange how wallpaper and fabric shops are like that isnt it Mrs B!
Not sure Donuts - I was originally keen on the idea of wallpaper in the master bedroom, maybe something black and baroque looking, but I cant quite decide (much like everything!) |
