but totally off the subject, i am catching up on all of you from yesterday cause i was at the mater mothers all day awaiting my nephews birth. I never thought it could be so exciting. It is so wonderful when someone else is doing it. I suppose getting a new house and decorating from scratch is like your new baby, very exciting but a lot of hard work. Thanks Maleena! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: New thread, my new house. 26Nov 29, 2008 9:40 am Congratulations, Michelle - how exciting for you!
at the look on your DD's face!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet she'll be amazed at what you do with the place...........and, yeah, no doubt she'll start to think it's pretty fab once Summer hits!!! Looks so nice and lush........especially compared to a new house sitting in the midst of a dust bowl...and the occasional 5m high weed!!!!!! Good luck with your new project - can't wait to see what you do with it! Solidarity, not solidity.......The Lexicon of Life Re: New thread, my new house. 27Nov 29, 2008 9:41 am So while we are on colours, I’ve chosen the exterior colour as well.
My DD thinks this is amazing, I’m picking all the colours for this house, and I don’t own it yet! Well……this is what I do best, so I can’t help myself. Exterior, all those palms are gone now, forgot to take a pic, get one through the week. They are also taking that big plant out to the left in the front garden for me, good, it was going the first weekend when I moved in, so one less thing to do. There is something special in doing up a house (not newly built) with your own stamp. I'm starting to re-discover all those long-forgotten feelings I had (through your new house) when we did up our very 1st house.........years ago Every little part of it was an adventure. I miss my garden the most, which I did all on my own I wonder how my hellebores & camellias are doing ? Re: New thread, my new house. 29Nov 29, 2008 9:45 am Ooooooooh, I LOVE Jasper - and that Dulux colour looks divine!!!!!!!! Ridiculous name ( I often wonder who chooses paint names, and what are they on when they decide on them???! ) , but absolutely gorgeous!!!! I bet she'll be amazed at what you do with the place...........and, yeah, no doubt she'll start to think it's pretty fab once Summer hits!!! Thanks petal, once she went out the back her face changed! She was really taken with the place and could see why I was drawn to it. Now she loves it, and said, god mum……you are going to have this looking fantastic! So all good with her now. Refuses to share My 22 year old has clearly stated "I';m not moving out 'til I get married" ! How long is that going to be ? I lived at home until I was 26 - I bought my first home then - my mother was devastated after telling me for 2yrs to hurry up and move out. When I finally did she cried non-stop for a month. My two sisters (one older, one younger) were both out the time they were 17yo. DH lived at home until he was 30 - had owned his land for 7yrs before he built on it and finally moved out. Again his younger sister had moved out at 16 and so his Mum was broken hearted when he moved out. DH is already planning on our kids staying at home until they are 30 - and then we own the two houses in the front of our land so he is going to tell them that the only place they can move to is one of the two houses up the front Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle.
