Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge Re: paint & accessories for charcoal carpet and blue lounge? 21Nov 27, 2008 7:42 pm while i am at it Michelle..just one more room please. My brand new bedroom is nearly finished being built, and again the colour is driving me nuts. It will have the charcoal carpet. Not sure what colour furniture to get - timber or white and not sure what to do on the walls.
I just did my daughters room in a girly pale mauve and it looks fantastic actually against the charcoal carpet (the only room that does thus far lol) and I really like a mauve feel, but not too girly if you know what I mean. Even a soft pink? Or should I just stick with the neutrals and change colour with doona covers etc. Your thoughts again please!!! Re: paint & accessories for charcoal carpet and blue lounge? 22Nov 27, 2008 7:47 pm Yes mauve would look great with the charcoal carpet; I bet your daughters room looks great.
How brave are you will feature wall colours? I would go with timber furniture, its timeless; white will make a huge contract to the charcoal carpet, too much. (still not sure bout those orange cushions for the lounge yet though!!! how about red??) Re: paint & accessories for charcoal carpet and blue lounge? 24Nov 27, 2008 7:58 pm Yes…red will work!
This is my bedroom, deep purple wall, if you did something similar and had a white doona or bedspread it would look stunning. I have used a green for my curtains. Looks great.
