Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge Re: Very first run of facade colours........... 21Nov 22, 2008 9:58 pm I never realised that Dy's roof and render were Dune. Your right it really does look nice. You know its hard to tell with those little samples that you try and decide a whole house on.
Dune is alot lighter on a whole roof than I had expected....which for me is a good thing...... My one problem is the house next door is dune render so I might choose a different render colour anyway.........and we are at the entrance of the estate so its very obvious if we go the same colours. Re: Very first run of facade colours........... 22Nov 22, 2008 10:01 pm Donuts, I think I will have to try and match the colours plus a surfmist roof just to have a look. I think it might just work you know. Re: Very first run of facade colours........... 23Nov 22, 2008 10:03 pm Yeah the dune looks much lighter on Dy's roof, but I remember her saying that some days it will look different depening on the sun/shade. I love her facade it makes me feel a little more confident about my home
I think the surfmist or shale grey will look gorgeous! Get your DH to mock up a few examples and we will all give you our opinion no doubt My karma ran over your dogma Re: Very first run of facade colours........... 24Nov 22, 2008 10:06 pm That will most definately happen....... and he is re building the house as we speak so I am supposed to be in the office helping him but I am not interested until he gets to the colour part. Re: Very first run of facade colours........... 27Nov 23, 2008 2:10 pm Very nice!!!

We initially thought about surfmist but the builder told us it looks too stark and I think he might be right. House down the road with a surfmist roof looks dead white in most lights. But I really like shale grey ... roof is a bit hard to see but I like this house with the shale grey roof. http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj229/DeeElle66/P1010185_edited.jpg Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Jasper roller door, jasper and 1/2 strength natural stone render. V nice. Re: Very first run of facade colours........... 30Nov 24, 2008 11:03 am Hey there
that is a beautiful house - one of the ones up in Burns Beach? The only thing I would caution about the pool is that it can be much more expensive to have done later depending on how close to the fence line, slab it will be. You may be better off getting the hole and the retaining done as part of the siteworks, rather than coming back later especially if it's hard for bobcats etc to get back in once there is a house on the block. But then I'd built a square cement block if I could . 7 6249 I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago. It wasn't the same model, but the symptoms were pretty much the same: the compressor would start and then stop… 3 7522 I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34266 |
