Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Nov 18, 2008 9:51 am Seeing as Joles has her grey and charcoal thread, I thought I would put some pictures of my "smaples" of my beige/taupe/brown selections for those "earthy tone" lovers
Please note....this is not a competition http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t289/xanasu/House%20November/house006.jpg First tile on left (which is grey ) is for the external entry...non slip, great for the party animals. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t289/xanasu/House%20November/house007.jpg middle tile is Sareen Stone for inside entry, it actually has little veins of grey through it, along with beige and a few other colours. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t289/xanasu/House%20November/house010.jpg tile on right, which is greyish taupe, AGAIN, is for the top level - kitchen/living/dining/hall etc etc striped tile at front is a 6 x 3 feature in downstairs bathroom tile next to it on right is alfresco which matches - almost - the inside rumpus tile colours on the canvas are exterior and interior house colours, with benchtop sample and roller blind sample on left carpet is 100% wool Cav Brem for bedrooms only brown tile on right of canvas (see top photo) is downstairs bathroom floor, some wall areas and rumpus room colour I don't have samples of ensuite tiles or powder room features, sorry. Re: sU rEAllY lOVES bEige and bROwn... 2Nov 18, 2008 9:54 am Ummm I love it all!
That's my type of browns.... lots of taupe and heading towards grey.... very muted. And no cream or yellow!!!! Yay!!!!! Your thread title says beige.... I don't see beige. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: sU rEAllY lOVES bEige and bROwn... 3Nov 18, 2008 9:58 am There is a hint of beige in the marble, not much. But I do love beige lol.
Thank you joles, yes I may be old...er, but I not dead as far as taste yet. haha. I love the marble, want to eat it I can't really take credit for these beautiful selections...my CC picked them out, I just had to say YAY or NAY! I only said nay to one. Re: sU rEAllY lOVES bEige and bROwn... 4Nov 18, 2008 11:31 am SuH, I love your colours....those taupes are my fave...you have the choice of going into darks or lights no probs.....do you have your cabinet colours somewhere for us to peruse also. How about renders etc.......this is just the beginning of the questions, I have a feeling I am going to like your other choices. More please Re: sU rEAllY lOVES bEige and bROwn... 8Nov 18, 2008 3:01 pm Im loving brown as well.

I told people I wanted to lick a particular laminex sample and got some very weird looks Lovely selections by the way! Re: sU rEAllY lOVES bEige and bROwn... 11Nov 18, 2008 5:07 pm OMG have I brought the "brown" lovers out of the closet, lol. You guys are going to laugh at what I have to tell you next then.
Well, we had to go to our tile supplier today to finally finalise our selections. We hadn’t picked our pool surround tile or the fountain wall tile. We ended up going way off what we had planned and chose Travertine for the surrounds and a teale stackstone for the water feature wall and a varied turquoise glass mosaic for the border line tile. We also looked at stuff we shouldn’t have…like remember the entry marble tile I wanted to eat, hohum!!! Keep reading Below you will see our NEW interior entry tile, as much as I loved the marble so much I wanted to eat it, I love this just as much and hubby (who was never keen on the marble) loves it too, it helps when we are both happy . The colours are very similar to the marble but we think it’s a bit more modern. It also has a sheen under the light and is more than half the price of the marble. It reminds me of a river bed or sand on the beach Please ignore the groovy terracotta tile underneath http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t289/xanasu/House%20November/IMG_0008.jpg http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t289/xanasu/House%20November/IMG_0007.jpg Tile selection is now over...and out Re: sU rEAllY lOVES bEige and bROwn... 12Nov 18, 2008 5:12 pm gweluphome SuH, I love your colours....those taupes are my fave...you have the choice of going into darks or lights no probs.....do you have your cabinet colours somewhere for us to peruse also. More please On the canvas the darker grey is a feature on the front of the house and the lighter (not lightest) is the remainder. The lightest is the interior. The little white laminex sample is the majority of kitchen cabinets, sorry I don't have the other or a splashback sample Re: sU rEAllY lOVES bEige and bROwn... 13Nov 18, 2008 6:11 pm Oo I love your new tile. That's my kind of tile with the beautiful water line type pattern. very nice. Re: sU rEAllY lOVES bEige and bROwn... 14Nov 18, 2008 7:13 pm thanks kexkez, I felt excited all the way home it is so beachy, it was a new display and we hadn't seen it before. When hub said he like it, straight away I knew it was for us...all good. Re: sU rEAllY lOVES bEige and bROwn... 16Nov 19, 2008 8:22 am Thanks Paula, do you like it better than the marble lol.... I think I would like it on the exterior entrance as well, but it may be a bit slippery. Is there a product to unslip tiles, I think it would look much nicer going all the way from outside in. Re: sU rEAllY lOVES bEige and bROwn... 17Nov 19, 2008 10:18 am I may as well ask everyone, which do you guys like best, I was looking at them this morning, still love them both
