a new red car hmmm not a Rex this time. I'd like a red ferrari tho' . I wouldn't even care if the neighbours got one as well . DH finished the second coat on the wall - thankfully its a much nicer colour now. I love feature walls . Re: Final touches - curtains and walls 30Nov 15, 2008 10:31 pm Dee Elle,
Have just been looking through your blog, its fantastic, you must be so pleased with how its all worked out. We are building atm and am having a rethink over my render colors. We also have the dune roof, and I love the colors of your render. I got the main color was Dune, is the brown color still the toffee fingers or did you change that as well. Might have to get my DH to have a look at your site and see what he thinks but I am very impressed, may have to steal your color selections but promise not to buy one of your letter boxes but think it goes great with your house. Well done again it all looks great. Re: Final touches - curtains and walls 31Nov 15, 2008 10:40 pm laldous,
I think the other colour DeeElle used was Jasper.... but not sure! And the red was Murray Red, that I'm sure of. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Final touches - curtains and walls 32Nov 16, 2008 8:47 am Thanks Jo,
Have had a look at the color chart and the Dune and the Jasper look good together. Might have to see if someone can do their magic computer thing and color my house with those colors. I posted a thread in Michelles decorating about thelp with my render colors so might see if any of them can give it a go for me. Showed DH this morning and he likes the colors as well so thats always a good thing. Thanks Leanne Re: Final touches - curtains and walls 34Nov 16, 2008 3:08 pm joles laldous, I think the other colour DeeElle used was Jasper.... but not sure! I don't mind if you get the letterbox or the colours laldous ... as long as you aren't building next door . here are some pics of the first feature wall in the house. I'm a bit ambivalent. Otherwise poor DH (or I) will repaint the wall in silver or platinum. Re: Final touches - curtains and walls 35Nov 16, 2008 4:55 pm Very different Dy……looks great! Hooray .. we are no longer living in an aquarium. Big windows . Sorry the shots are not the best ones of the house but I'm not going to do a spring clean for y'all The windows are open so there are gaps where there shouldn't be but you get the gist.
Here are the first ones of the family/kitchen area. They've made a big difference to the accoustics and warmth in the room. Much greyer than I anticipated but its muted and suits the house.
