Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Nov 03, 2008 6:59 pm I'm new here and so I hope I'm not too forward with this request, but I'm having trouble visualising our external colour choices and was wondering (hoping) that somebody who's good with photoshop might be able to mock somehting up for me (please and thank you!)
Originally we both pictured a light sandy coloured brick with a dark grey or dark bluish roof. However since we're trying to stick to the standard options as much as possible, and we don't much care for the sandy/light coloured bricks in that catergory, we're now looking at a redish brick with a charcoal/black roof and trim. We're building the Hillcrest 2600 from Simonds. Downpipes - Monument from Colorbond Windows - Black (we want charcoal but it seems the choice is either black or silver) Front Door - Something to match Monument (or perhaps a shade lighter) Garage Door - Monument from Colorbond Thanks in advance Sophie Re: Visualising Exterior Colours 2Nov 03, 2008 7:11 pm This works well! Sorry I am still yet to learn how to photshop!
But I am good with visualisation. Ok since your garage door is Monument I would suggest your front door be the same. Otherwise….good choices Red Gum Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Roof - Roof - Barramundi Tiles (Tudor range) from CSR Roofing Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Monument Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Visualising Exterior Colours 3Nov 03, 2008 7:34 pm Thanks Michelle.
Do you think that we go with the Monument for the fascias or something else? Re: Visualising Exterior Colours 4Nov 03, 2008 7:38 pm I’d go Monument, it’s a little a hard to try and introduce another colour with such a deep colour like Monument and your roof colour. Just remember to keep it simple as you have, you can’t go wrong. Good luck and enjoy your new home! And I figure that some good landscaping will also dress it up so it's not necessary to put too many colours in. But I'm actually looking at using those same colours on my Simonds home! How far into the build are you? Did you end up choosing those colours - and do you have pictures???? Or has anyone else used these colours and has some photos? Re: Visualising Exterior Colours 10May 14, 2009 10:22 am webbiegareth Sorry to bring up an old(ish) thread..... We're very happy with how it's turned out. Where are you building? and which design? And thanks Cozmo! I'm building the Milan 2200, in West Melton (yes, I know.... I know...). I've finally had a look at your blog - and I think it looks awesome, so those outside colours are definitely what I'll be choosing. I have no idea about the inside.... either the browny/mushroomy colours, or a grey/blue kind of theme.... so many choices, so little time! These colours weren't our first choice - the colours that we really liked were all upgrades an we really wanted to stick to the standard options. For us this was the best colour combination that we could come up with from the limited range of standard bricks. My blog: http://artstitcheshome.blogspot.com Re: Visualising Exterior Colours 14May 21, 2009 11:41 am I know exactly what you mean there - I have had the same problem. There's a fairly limited selection in their "standard" range, and I don't want to pay for the upgrades.... so I was trying to work out the best I could get without having to pay extra. I liked the redgum and the darker tiles, so being able to see the photos have made my mind up of what I want.
