I've drilled a hole in it and can see there is a wooden beam running through the top and the bottom. After any ideas to improve this strange looking thing. Above means you need to patch the cornice and might need to deal with different ceiling heights which can look really crap with critical light down a hallway. Andrea You are welcome.
