Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 10, 2021 11:50 am I have a timber ceiling that has discoloured due to age and nicotine. I had the floors redone (second pic) and now need ideas for the ceiling. I am planning white walls and charcoal/black window trim. I want to paint the beams charcoal/black but not sure what to do with the wood in between that will complement the floors. Should I just paint? White? Or another colour that will fit with the black and white of the walls and trim? Cover with panels? Should I try and remove the stained lacquer and leave bare? Whitewash? Or can I just leave it? Does it look so bad contrasted with the floors? I would be grateful for all ideas or suggestions from both a practical and aesthetic perspective! By the way - this ceiling is throughout the entire house and is extremely high! Thank you for your wisdom!
