Can I ask where you got the bamboo fence stuff? I saw some in Poynton's on the weekend but it only came in very short widths, not nice and long like yours. Re: Outdoor Colour for patio area 22Oct 20, 2008 7:40 am We got them from Chippys Timber in Ringwood. They come in 2.4 metre lengths ... our beds are 2.7m so unfortunately we had to buy 3 and then cut the ends off. Dad did a great job of joining them though so unless you studied it carefully, you wouldn't know it's not the same sheet of bamboo.
Not sure what area you are in, but they have a great range of brushed panels, bamboo (the darker color we have and a natural colour - they are really beautiful), and lots of merbau screens too. It is full bamboo too, not half cut like a lot of places sell. Re: Outdoor Colour for patio area 24Oct 20, 2008 7:57 am Cool. Chippys timber - Maroondah Highway, if you come off the EastLink at Maroondah Highway exit you will see it on the other side of the road.
Our panels were about $175 each, the natural ones are $140 (ish). Not sure about the brushed panels. Dad did say that you can make the merbau panels cheaper than you can buy them.
