The silver will look lovely on your bedsides and maybe some new glass looking handles. Re: Bedside lamps…. 43Oct 20, 2008 9:08 pm The new lights look amazing!!! Love the way the light goes on the walls around it.
What brand are these? I am looking for a light that will have a nice crystal like effect on our entry, but the hardest thing is that the light can only be close to ceiling(bout 30cms) as our 1200mm wide entry door is in the way. We are painting the 150mm vertical plasterboard in the coffered ceiling double strength jasper(thanks for that Michelle) so hopefully it will bring the eye to that area. Your electrician should be able to do this for you. But I really need to step back and take the time for my own. But the word here is TIME! I never seem to have enough. I’m working on some time off work soon, then again over xmas, so I should be able to put some ideas on paper…..if I don’t get in the garden! Also I’m pretty limited where I live…..it’s a bit backward. I’m usually about 2 years ahead of everything else here…………………………. MIRRORS FACING YOUR BED: EXPLORE FENG SHUI SOLUTIONS FOR A MIRROR FACING THE BED Why is a mirror facing the bed bad feng shui? A mirror facing the bed directly depletes your personal energy when you need it the most: at nighttime when your body is doing most of its repair work. A mirror facing your bed is also said to bring the energy of the third party into your intimate relationship. What exactly does a "mirror facing the bed" mean in feng shui? A mirror facing the bed means a mirror that reflects your body while you are in bed. How can I remedy the situation with a mirror facing my bed?: If a free standing mirror is reflecting your bed, then it is easy - just find a different spot for it. Watch the short video tip on the feng shui use of mirrors, it has some good ideas on how to use mirrors to improve the feng shui in your home. If you have mirrored closet doors, the best solution I have seen with many clients is to do a good job with draperies/curtains that can be closed at night. It can look as if you create a window covering for another window - in the daytime you get all the light and freshness for the bedroom that mirrors can provide, and at nighttime you close the curtains that cover the mirrored closet doors. Another solution is to just remove the mirrors/replace the closet doors. Have seen that done well many times with homeowners, but certainly not worth it when you are renting. If you have a piece of furniture that has a mirror build into it and you just cannot reposition it, look at creative solutions. If the mirror can be angled in different ways - just angle the mirror so that it does not reflect the bed at night, and you are done! If the mirror is fixed, you will just have to play and be creative. What can help you the most, as well as look the best with your bedroom decor? It can be a beautiful flower arrangement (real or artificial), a small stack of books with appropriate titles for the bedroom, or a free standing piece of bedroom art covering the mirror - it is up to you to define what can cover the mirror the best way so that you do not see yourself in it at night. Let me share just a couple more thoughts about mirrors in the bedroom. Generally, big mirrors are not recommended, feng shui-wise, in the bedroom, as they bring the energy of the feng shui element of water, and a strong feng shui water element in the bedroom attracts/creates the energy of sorrow. Now, this does not mean that you cannot have a mirror in the bedroom. If the mirror does not reflect the bed, and it is not of overwhelming proportions as compared to the room, then the mirror should be OK for your bedroom, feng shui-wise. It is also OK to have very small mirrors in the design of your headboard (notice I say "very small"); but definitely not good feng shui to have a mirrored headboard. But apparently you can get them from some lighting stores. Glad you like them, thank you. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com |
