Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 26, 2013 6:21 pm Well we are just about to plaster our new extension which is to be a living room opening out from a new kitchen, so all open plan. My dilemma is now picking colour for the walls. The new kitchen colours are Polar White and Moose in Silkfinish Laminex with Pure Mineralstone DG benchtops. Silver Kickers and touches of brushed chrome with the doorhandles and downlights. Im thinking a warm neutral? Not too creamy. DOes anyone have suggestions? Re: Paint Colour Advice - Desperate 2Mar 26, 2013 6:29 pm We are having Moose in our laundry and a very similar colour - stipple smoke - in bathrooms. We have chosen to paint in Dulux Beige Royal half strength. The colour samples compliment each other and the colour isn't too yellow or too pink. Have a look at my thread - page 6 - to see the colour against Moose. If you wanted to tone it down you could go for 1/4 strength instead of 1/2. If you want a colour which is a bit lighter, maybe try Whisper White Half which has the tiniest green undertone which should work well with the Moose. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7616 Versaloc is a mortarless besser block system that still needs a properly engineered footing. If you just do a 400x200 footing it will fail in time. At 17m long you need it… 1 21837 Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 6150 |
