You don't actually eat these do you?! They're so cool, especially the little space alien one... if you made that for me I would have it preserved and put on display! Re: For all those who like cupcakes 249Jun 21, 2010 9:30 pm suh They are amazing, but I would definitely eat them but not for another 4 weeks. Step away from the cake suh - they're for display purposes ONLY! Re: For all those who like cupcakes 251Jun 22, 2010 7:19 pm They better bl##dy well get eaten!!!!! I think of them a bit like a bunch of flowers. The joy is in seeing people’s faces when they get them and the special extravagance of giving a gift that is so fleeting. And besides......I pride myself on making absolutely everything you see out of edible sugarpaste or chocolate and making really yummy moist cakes. I sure as hell don’t slave over stuff to see them get thrown out untouched Luckily my little people have no respect for art and don’t hesitate to massacre the cakes as soon as they possibly can sometimes before they can...... A certain little 3 year old snuck out early on the morning of her brothers 1st birthday and decided to sample a handful of every colour, all of the blue trimming and an unsuspecting lion on the cake below. This is the hasty fix job ......alas the lion's partner could not be saved The 3 year old only just survived Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: For all those who like cupcakes 254Aug 20, 2010 7:46 am It's that time of year when I get out the icing sugar and make a mess! My Daughters Birthday is tomorrow, she has a party today with school friends and a family 'do' on Sunday. The poor thing missed out on parties and nice cakes for her last 2 birthdays due to moving both times, so I'm making up for it this year! She requested a poodle and eiffel tower cake. I have not even attempted the eiffel tower (I'll use a stand-in!), but I have made 4 icing poodles. Re: For all those who like cupcakes 256Aug 20, 2010 2:31 pm Oh my god some of these cakes are absolutely fantastic, my DDs 5th birthday is coming up and i only wish i could do something like this, i have absolutely no artistic bones in my body though so will have to stick with something basic like a plain cupcake with icing and perhaps a smartie on top lol.
