I saw another one I might go back for, it was to die for, but I though I’d see how I go with the easy stuff first. What did I start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so impressed with the cakes and cupcakes everyone has made. You are all very talented! Thanks goodness I decorate, or I would be feeling like such a nothing now. So much talent and so much inspiration here. Don't worry Michelle I was the same. I only ever made one birthday cake for my daughter...Micky Mouse...it looked great but what a pain in the from then on it was to the good ol' cake shop up the road, they made fantastic cakes, and as long as they had a cake they didn't care where it came from. Re: For all those who like cupcakes 88Jul 27, 2009 4:53 pm misskitty....your cakes are the best I have seen, I am salivating at the mere thought of them Michelle, get a packet of Greens Cake Mix please, they work and they having icing included Re: For all those who like cupcakes 89Jul 27, 2009 6:00 pm SuH Michelle I feel like a very bad mother, I always had my daughter’s birthday cakes made for her. Sue I could get a slab of cake made in choc, her fav, for next to nothing at my local cake shop, even for her 21st I had them make her cake it was lovely! Till I put it in my spare fridge and it froze all the lovely miniature pink roses (FRESH roses) on the cake! She was happy with all her cakes; she’s quite the little cook herself now, so I thought I might get her a cupcake cook book for her BD. She might whip me some up for my birthday. Went shopping this arvo, checked out the greens cake mixes, might get some next week. But i find them a bit rich. ( might be the amount we end up eating) because we were still unpacking and in a bit of a mess for his and my birthdays this year we both had bought cakes for our birthdays( 1 day apart) I had carrot cake.. and DH had SL choc cake. Re: For all those who like cupcakes 96Jul 27, 2009 10:06 pm Wow, I can't believe how expensive those cakes on the Planet Cake web site are Thank you for the kind comments on my cakes, folks. Mrs B Miss Kitty....what amazing cakes you have made! Do you enter them into the shows like the Royal Melbourne Show? No. I'm a complete novice and only just started making them last year. So far they have been very experimental but I would like to learn some real techniques one day. I have only made these cakes for family and a few close friends so it is nice to have an opportunity/ excuse to show a few of them off Thanks again for the kind comments Re: For all those who like cupcakes 97Jul 27, 2009 11:44 pm Here are two my mum made about 20 years ago for my brother. The ones she made me never turned out that good because I insisted on helping Some of the carts on the train are a bit wonky haha but not a bad job I'd say! Those cake tins that are on the website that was posted before would make it much much easier! woohoo a cheats way to cute shaped cakes!
