See photos for more info. I have tried screwing the faceplate counterclokwise (and clockwise) and also prying it off with a screwdriver however have had no luck. Cheers for any help! The threaded part is around the spindle and can get quite tight. It is a standard direction thread so anticlockwise is right. You could try spraying a bit of CRC in behind the back plate and hopefully that will help loosen it up.
