Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Aug 08, 2020 8:30 am We have the lockdowns in Victoria again and thought I'd post what we've just had installed as I know a lot of others at work are looking for solutions to separate their home and work. I found this Melbourne based company Tinyroomco by chance on Instagram. Just beat the current restrictions and was built in a day, with the caulking to finish it the following day. I added a few things such as a standing desk, some hidden wiring to hide some cables. I'm over 6ft and first question I asked was around head height, I still have plenty of clearance. Because the layout is 1800mm x 1800mm it allows that bit of extra space instead of ot was more rectangluar. The plywood work top is normally fixed, they found a way to keep the structural integrity and allow me to put a standing desk frame in with their top. Still a couple of things to do before it's finished. Waiting on a shelf from another supplier, also a cable management tray from the standing desk company (which will hide most power cables). I have a small heater currently in there and fully insulated so doesn't need much heat. Need to work out something for Summer though. Specs on size from their website, "External width: 1800 x 1800 mm, External height: 2400 mm max (sloped roof), Internal width : 1700 x 1500 mm, Desk size: 610 mm deep". I've looked at other companies and found them to be the best value, as some were $20k+ I'll have to dig deeper on why the family keep saying they love having me outside during the day?
