Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Mar 27, 2020 8:30 pm Hi, I'm renovating a kitchen/living area which has a part exposed brick wall that I want to clear coat. It's been thoroughly cleaned (hydrochloric acid) but unsure what product to use to seal it? Asking at Bunnings they recommend "Crommelin Brick And Render Water Based Sealer" and Paintspot mentioned a Viponds sealer, but they didn't have in stock. I thinking satin or maybe matte coat, definitely not high gloss. Hoping for some recommendations. Thanks Re: indoor exposed brick wall sealer 3Mar 28, 2020 6:33 am arcadelt Any reason you don’t want to leave it as it is? It drops enough brick dust over a few days that I'd prefer to seal it. I lived in similar place (late Victoria terrace with party wall) some years ago that did the same. I've seen some exposed brick walls in a satin finish that quite looked good as well. Must be something about the way bricks are made, as our recycled brick wall doesn’t drop dust at all, unless you rub it with something abrasive. Building Standards; Getting It Right!
