So I still haven't done those finished photos of the kitchen...I'll get to it...lol
But...here's an update of pretty much what we're working on currently as it's a pretty big project.

So we had these three ballustrades made to match the rest of what was already on the house, if you scroll back right to the start you'll see the front picture of the house and that there aren't ballustrades on every garden bed (yes those are garden beds!!!) and so we had to have these custom made. To try and save a bit of coin, always good in hindsight huh, we decided to paint these suckers and install them ourselves, which as we were working on them we both regretted, but now that we have one up in place, which took five of us, thankfully our neighbours are helpful and gave us a hand, we are starting to forget some of the pain...maybe...the wine helps...

So here's the first one up, looks great, fit well and we're really pleased. The other two will go in at some stage down the track.

So we have been steadily chipping away at painting the outside, over the Christmas break I tackled this front wall and the trim around the front door, and did a bit of work on the old screen door too. The breeze block in the background is badly damaged so hubby has been doing some render reparis and glue and all sorts of other tricks to fix it up. Also you'll see there's tiles missing which was a bit of a bummer as they are from the 70s but we've saved a box of old loose ones and today I spent some time gluing the old ones back down as well as some new black ones for in the front of the sliding door as pictured below.

I'm actually pretty pleased with the overall look and it saved ripping up all the tiles and replacing them...WIN!!!
And lastly those garden beds all across the front of the house...and guess what they're at the back too *groan* have had to be dug out by hand, which has been a horrible job. They need to be water proofed properly and then refilled so that things will actually grow, and down the track will make a pretty awesome facade when there's all greenery growing in them.

So there's now four of these suckers now done at the front and it's just this little sucker left to dig out
