Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Sep 14, 2019 1:51 pm I have recently moved into a brick veneer house which has been painted for a long time. The paint job needs to be re-done and I'm thinking it may be better to remove it completely rather than either pay a fortune to have it done by a trade or attempt the mammoth task myself and then go through the gradual discolouration and random areas of staining and peeling before having to do it again. Has anyone got any experience with removing paint from brick on the scale of a full house? I came across soda blasting as a potential option but I've go no experience to say whether or not this will provide a clean end result. Any advice would be appreciated Re: Removing Paint from External Brick (full house) 2Dec 05, 2019 11:28 pm I would say it's impossible to remove the paint to look any good. You will have to bite the bullet and get it repainted Hi Kristy Around $1.7-1.8m or around $4,600/sqm. if you PM me your email I will send you a break up in a spreadsheet so you can get an understanding of the costs for… 1 9956 6 11144 The best advice is for you to get a competent building consultant to guide you through your build 7 4677 |
