Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Aug 26, 2019 11:27 pm I'm renovating my home and adding an extension out the back. We've had a look at some flooring options and think we've settled on hybrids for all areas of the house except bathrooms, laundry and toilet. We like the thinness of each plank so we can lay it over existing flooring without too much of a height difference, cost and it's qualities eg. Waterproof (so they say), acoustic properties, apparently quiet resistant to scratch and damage. As we're planning to start a family and already have a dog, I think these properties are quiet relevant to our lifestyle. In saying all this, I have trouble finding consistent feedback about a single supplier. Karndean, Godfrey Hirst and Heartridge are names that we've come across. Karndean market themselves as a premium brand and I think the most expensive. I have my eye on them but have come across mixed reviews. I also recieved samples from Heartridge and I have to say their backing feels a lot more sturdier and rigid than Karndean. I'm just not as sold on their range of colours. So wondering if anyone who has used hybrids can share their experience to help us make our decision??
