Our Shower to Powder downstairs is windowless by design, something we have regretted over the 8 years or so since building it. Amateurs to building at the time and rushed through without due diligence and thought.
It looks like the below.
Biggest problem is the noise of the fan - it's like a helicopter when on and has to be on with the same time as the light. It's against rescode to seperate them,so a friend has suggested adding another light bulb into the room to just switch it on when we use it say to do number 1 (sorry TMI) or use the vanity basin to wash our hands. Would this work?
I currently dont experience any mould and have checked the joists - they are dry just a bit of dust.

You could also get a better light/fan combo. That might be less expensive than running the cables for and installing a second light. We've had some in the past that have been noisy like yours, but others that were very quiet.

Should have been picked up and moved before waterproofing. Plumbers stuffed up first but the waterproofer also didn’t bother checking .
