I’m new to this site and thought I’d ask for some advice. We are building on to our current 1980 s brick home. It’s long ways on the block, similar I guess to a homestead style. Extension will include a new master, lounge, dinning and kitchen space. Reno will also include new laundry refit, study and ensuite in existing home. New roof, new windows.
Because we are starting from scratch with exterior colors I’m lost! The house will be fully rendered, as we can’t match old bricks. I was thinking wallaby roof and dune render with ultra silver windows.....but after advice. And if I do that, what do I do for gutters, facial and eaves? Front door is metal / glass .
Any advice or photos would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

If your council allows it, a light covered roof will aid in keeping your home cool. Also, a more neutral colour (or even raw Zincalume) will give you flexibility if you ever want to change the colour of your rendered walls in the distant future. IMHO, Wallaby will limit those choices.
