Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Apr 08, 2018 10:11 pm Hi guys, Wondering if someone out there can help me identify what material our kitchen/laundry floors are covered with. The Laundry floor is concreted and i imagin this to be stuck directly to it, in the kitchen however there are floorboards underneath like the rest of the house. I would like to identify what it is before ripping it up, providing there is no asbestos sheeting as the underlay- yet to be determined i guess.. Its very soft and i can shave slices off with a knife blade. The previous owner had it covered with floating flooring and had ground down some high points as seen in these pics. We're just keen to find out what it is. Thanks!
