without seeing elevations, its difficult to just tack on rooms and not know what it is doing to the exterior look. At first glance you could add on to the front of the garage and then push the garage space forward and use the old garage space as the new living room space. For the kitchen you might consider putting a wall in the laundry room, so the toilet is separate, then use the laundry space as extra kitchen space. Then put the laundry over in the new garage space.

You have plenty of room to work with I wouldn't be moving the kitchen from where it is. For me to save on moving the plumbing, I 'd move the wall between the meals and lounge to in line with the window closest to the wall. Take that wall line to your foyer making it shorter (the kitchen get that space), so they have to enter into the lounge and turn left and use the verandah for the extension, hard to tell without being there.
