Easily maintained and cared for, solid timber floors create opulence in any home. My main issues have been the quality of the timber we got. We are in NSW and I chose QLD Spotted Gum, Select grade, Satin Finish. From the onset my floor layer told me it was NOT select grade. I went back to the supplier, he assured me it was and would not be in a position to exchange or replace my floor. The floor layer thought that I was not forceful enough (could have got an inspector for $500) but my supplier was an 'honorary member' of the association. I knew we just had to power through it. Suffice to say, I love the floor now that we are in.
