We're planning on adding a family room/living room + making the kitchen open out into this new living room. The existing house has low 2.4m ceilings and we would like to create a bigger sense of space by having a higher ceiling height in the new section and out on to the deck, accompanied by some nice large glass doors with a good height to match. Wondering whether it would be look more proportionate to have a 2.7m ceiling height in the new section or could we even go to 3m? Would be grateful for anyone's opinion. Many thanks.
