Have a small-ish reno project in Mt Lawley - looking for a builder who loves dealing with all the 'quirks' of old houses All tips / recommendations / experiences / advise gratefully received. We already have some plans from a draughtsperson that we can send for high level estimates. The labour rates are still relatively high for period renos most trades are still at $1k+/day ...what is your expectations , budget and pictures also help. I am happy to have a quick look post PM. Preliminaries cost analysis is simply the best strategy before anything else. I applied those things and the result was great. Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days?
