Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Dec 01, 2016 10:59 am Hi there I am a relative newbie when it comes to renovations. I am currently undertaking some renovation works, and as part of this, we are getting the kitchen redone. We are looking to cut the wall in behind the sink, flush and have the kitchen bench extend out along the other side, over where this wall currently sits. The wall is hollow, no services or anything in it, but I have noticed that the edges have a steel frame. My question is, how do I go about cutting this flush to the level of the existing cabinets? Is it just a matter of marking the wall up to the level I want, removing the gyprock and cutting the studs and steel flush with a recipricating saw and then bracing the studs together? Any help or ideas on how this can be done would be much appreciated. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Kitchen Hob wall 2Dec 11, 2016 2:02 am Will you replace the kitchen?
