Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Oct 08, 2016 8:34 pm Hi All, Just after some advice regarding painting, fixing and filling nail/screw hole s in our future MDF skirting after our floating floor are installed after handover. The house we are currently building used steel frame so what is the best way to fix the skirting to the steel frame? Some sort of nails or should we go with some sort of glue? In relation to painting, should we paint the first coat while the skirting is uncut? Than do the next two coat after its installed and the nail/screw holes are filled. Also what should I use to fill the holes? J. Gardner 3Oct 10, 2016 12:11 am Thanks mate. Love the sound of Liquid Nail as it's sounds like a nice clean easy solution. Do you reckon over time it may peel or lose its adhesiveness? If I go Liquid nail route should I just paint all 3 coats prior to the cutting and fixing of the skirting?
