Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Sep 27, 2016 3:48 pm Hello, I been renewing my unit, calling all sort of tradies, with the result of having a "mess wiring system" in my roof cavity. Air conditioning guy laying cables on one place, electrician adding cabled for new down-lights with the result of having a mess in my roof cavity.... Because I am a precise person (my wife would say OCD, while I would say just perfect ) I would like to recall the electrician to "clean up the mess" in the follow way: - install trunking system in the roof cavity to each lights/GPOs from Main Electricity supply - readjust cables so they will sit nicely in trunking system My question is: - is it worth-ed? - is it compliance wit standard? (I am not an electrician and before commissioning one I would like to know if this would be even possible - multiple cable in the same trunking system are going to generate too much eat and "generate a fire hazard"? thanks lots for any answer Re: Trunking System for electric cable in Roof Cavity 2Sep 28, 2016 12:46 pm Quote: Because I am a precise person (my wife would say OCD, while I would say just perfect ) I would like to recall the electrician to "clean up the mess" in the follow way: - install trunking system in the roof cavity to each lights/GPOs from Main Electricity supply - readjust cables so they will sit nicely in trunking system My question is: - is it worth-ed? - is it compliance wit standard? The real obsessives call it CDO - that way even the letters are in alphabetical order !
