Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Aug 14, 2016 5:57 pm Hi all, new member introducing himself, we just brought a weatherboard house in VIC and is looking to carry out some reno. Just wanted to get opinion on costing as there seems to be a huge variance between builders. Our house is only 90m2, 3 beds, one bath and 1 kitchen with living. We have being quoted $18k to complete the following (labour only): - lay whole house with laminated floorboard; - demo kitchen, knock down wall to open kitchen, tile floor, install cabinet, install island bench with sink; - demo bathroom, knock down wall between bath & toilet, tile entire room, install new shower & toilet & cabinet; - knock down wall to make sliding door from living to garden; - remove/patch up fireplace & window aircon; - patch up one window in kitchen and door in laundry; - remove current light & install LEDs whole house, relocate power points; - paint entire house. Does the sound reasonable for labour?
