Hi all,
First post on this forum, I have been looking online but not found much, I am hoping some people here could spread some insight.
My girlfriend and I have found a potential home (first home buyers) we love the house, with the exception of the size of the windows in the 3 bedrooms at the back of the house.
One day, we would want to have children and as you can see from the below image; the windows are very small and allow little light in. We would be hoping to enlarge these windows, having somebody knock down part of the wall, remove the windows and install brand new ones.
I can't tell you what frames they have on this house, I'm almost certain it is wooden (which I know are more expensive than Aluminium) but I could still be wrong.
My questions are,
1) Who would be best for this job? Just a builder? Or would we need a builder then a person to install the windows?
2) Going on the assumption they are wooden frames, how much would it cost (approx) for the whole job? There are 3 windows in total.
3) Same cost if they were aluminium?
Thanks in advance!
Josh
