Has anyone used bondcrete to render walls (walls will be gyprocked after), not only to get a smooth finish, but to also help hold the mortar in place ? The mortar is very loose and appears to be made up of a higher than usual sand mix. Open to alternative suggestions and work arounds. I basically want some piece of mind with the walls being secure and safe – they currently aren’t threatening, or look to be falling down, but I’d like piece of mind that the walls have been repaired properly – and won’t give me an issue for 10 years at least.
