Hi All, consider this an intro if you will. My fiance and I purchased our first home in June this year (after approx 2yrs of saving/ dealing with banks). It's a 4x1 on a 800sqm corner block approx 40min from the Perth CBD. We've had a bit of a crash-course in home ownership and renovating when we undertook our first renovations with a few set backs and underlying problems. I'll use this thread to post some before/ afters and keep an ongoing blog of work we are doing to the house and yard. I'm super excited to join this forum and have plenty of questions, gardening and lawns are a hobby of mine and I'm hoping to bring this house back up into tip-top shape.
Here's a few pics to get the ball rolling .
Kitchen & Dining B/A
Before we moved into the home we re-tiled the entire house with the exception of the 4 bedrooms (carpet). New paint on the walls, ceiling and skirts.

Shower
One of the first setbacks occurred when we stripped the old tiles from the shower and discovered there was no concrete pad, the original owners layed screed directly on top of the sand pad. Here's a before after of the shower floor as an example. Luckily the tile screed remained intact for the majority of the bathroom and laundry.
