Hey guys new to the forum so thanks for having me
My question is that I am doing quite a large extension on my house and I really want to make it comfortable and power efficient. I live on the south side of Brisbane where it doesn't get too cold in winter, but can get pretty hot and humid in summer. I was wondering if it is worth paying the extra money on double glaze with a thermal break, or is that more for colder climates?
I will be in this house until it becomes too big for me so I have been looking at doing things a little differently with concrete walls with those insulated concrete form blocks, looking at solar panels with a Tesla Powerwall and some big water tanks.
Want to try and make it as self sufficient as possible and keep my bills low as possible. Pay more money at the start to recoup it over the years.
Thoughts?
Thanks for your time.
