Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Oct 07, 2015 9:15 pm Hi, We are rendering our 1940's house that is on a slope and can't decide on the colour. So far, i'm leaning towards: main render: dune full strength or double strength?? Roof: woodland grey (maybe basalt) Gutters: i think its dark brown which we are not replacing or changing (its not that noticeable) Fascia: woodland grey Eaves: surfmist or white Pipes: dune Front door: woodland grey? Or some dark brown? Garage: we have a colorbond garage looks like colorbond classic cream in colour I don't like the yellowish cream colour of our roller garage but my builder says if i paint over it, it will probably crack in a few years time. I was thinking either woodland grey or some other dark colour. Window frame: white Would these colours work? Has anyone had similar colour schemes for their house? It wouLd be great if you've got some pictures.... Thanks Re: Help needed on house render colour 3Oct 08, 2015 9:21 am Maz80 Can someone tell me how to post a picture?? Ive been looking everywhere but can't seem to find anything. Cheers. see this thread. viewtopic.php?f=70&t=1272 Re: Help needed on house render colour 4Oct 08, 2015 8:44 pm Good to read about this Maz80. We are considering a similar colour scheme on our reno. Definitely looking at Colorbond Dune colour on weatherboards, white window frames. I'm stuck on the roof colour, as I like the Woodland Grey but wasn't sure about the environmental impact of having a dark roof. Then again, I can't figure out which lighter colours would go with the Dune best. I'd love to see photos of this sort of colour scheme too! Re: Help needed on house render colour 5Oct 08, 2015 8:46 pm PS - I forgot to mention that our existing colorbond fencing is all in the light green colour (not sure of the name), so while I like grey, I definitely want a grey that is warmer/ with a greener base rather than the blue or purple looking greys. It is all very confusing! Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again. I had a chat with the builder, he said he will use primer, then hydrotec which comes with colour and sealer as well.
