Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Sep 10, 2015 2:49 pm G'day all, I am organising to remove the wall between the kitchen and lounge area though it is a load bearing wall (length 389cm). I am hoping someone might be able to advise the size of a structural beam required to handle the load for this length. It will be fixed by pro's though I am trying to resource the equipment and all required at better prices where possible. Cheers for any info or advice. Re: Structural Beam Sizing 3Sep 11, 2015 9:18 pm There are beam tables online. Goggle is your friend, but the span tables are not easy to read. Having some knowledge of how loads work will help you there. Re: Structural Beam Sizing 4Sep 25, 2015 8:16 am You will need a structural engineer!
