Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Mar 16, 2015 10:48 am I recently removed most of the old carpet and lino in our house, revealing good hardwood timber floors underneath. I like the rustic look but the end goal is to sand and polish them. However, we plan to raise the house in about 3-5 years time (probably closer to the 5 year mark). Do wooded floors need to be re sanded and polished after a house is raised? I'd rather have nice floors now but think I'll save my money if I'll need to redo it all over again in a few years. So do it now if it suits you better. Hi All New to the forum and looking for some advice, has anyone else renovated an old miners cottage in or around Ballarat and been able to identify the flooring?
