Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Feb 07, 2015 9:41 am Hi all, As suspected the vinyl floors in our new (well, 1950s) place have come back testing positive for asbestos. I've thought about removing it myself but to be honest I'd rather leave it to the professionals - mainly to avoid all of the hassle and preparation etc required to do it properly. Does anyone have any recommendations for asbestos removal companies in the Adelaide area? I'm not necessarily looking for a dirt cheap job, I'm more worried about quality of work. My view is that by paying someone to remove it for me I should be able to mitigate not only the short-term risk of exposure during the removal process, but also the long-term risk by making sure the house is left spotlessly clean afterwards. Any old cowboy could reduce the short term exposure risk for me, but I really want to make sure the job's done right so there's no long-term risk through stray fibres left in the house. So, any recommendations for companies that have undertaken the work 100% by the book? Meticulous removal process, air monitoring, HEPA-filtered vacuuming etc? Cheers!
