Just wondering if anyone can recommend or provide feedback for asbestos removalists, with a class A licence, in Brisbane?
So far I've checked out:
- A1 Asbestos
- Advanced Deconstruction
- Caylamax Demolitions
- Allstruct
Thanks in advance.

Re: Brisbane Asbestos removals - recommendations/feedback 4Jan 20, 2015 11:06 pm A previous company I worked for had to get asbestos removed from a building they bought, and they used Thunderbird Demolitions. They are based here in Gympie, but may travel - not sure though? They were excellent to deal with, and as far as I know, everyone was happy with the results. 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Brisbane Asbestos removals - recommendations/feedback 5Jan 23, 2015 3:45 pm jacs 33amc What are you looking at having done? Roof, bathroom, ceiling, cladding, fence? Ceiling and walls in bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living areas. Ok, Try "Affordable asbestos removals" affordableasbestos.com.au/ They are very thorough. Peter does it himself so be assured you won't have some ring in contractor show up. Very thorough, they also do good prep by laying down plastic etc, and wet the framework down with the bonding solution afterwards. I have come across others that are a bit "hows your father" with it. I think he is around the $30/m2 price range. If you have a lot to do he might do better, if it's a really tricky job and involved maybe more. But that's a heads up of the going rate anyway. Let me know how you go with him. Re: Brisbane Asbestos removals - recommendations/feedback 6Jan 29, 2015 8:46 am I had Advanced Deconstruction in to inspect our newly bought house. I was not in but my wife said they were very good. Cost us $198 for the inspection and he went through the house giving my wife advice on where there is asbestos, where there isn't and what might be. Each test will cost $55 but we didn't bother with that, and won't unless we are actually going to do something in that area. He gave us a rough price range for removing asbestos from a certain part of our house. I don't think he was as cheap as Affordable Asbestos Removals though. $30/sqm seems pretty good. Re: Brisbane Asbestos removals - recommendations/feedback 7Jan 30, 2015 11:54 am Used A1 Asbesto, as they had an A class license. They were fast but rough, left some asbestos and cleaning rags behind, and didn't save everything I asked them to save. I don't think I'd use them again. First time poster long story short we are planning knocking down rebuilding a house in Wavell Heights We are thinking to go with Omni built homes as they are but flexible… 0 1599 What you are looking at is fibrous plaster, true gypsum, it is cast on horizontal beds with fibers included to give strength. I has no Asbestos in it. Houses before 1985… 2 4211 4 1444 |
