Purlins?

With a clourbond roof is it better to use the gal steel top hat type purlin /roof battens.

or

use the h2 mgp10 pine.

Just had some concerns of moisture and whats the better option.

If your putting blanket under the tin then go top then metal battens, they stay straight and are easy to fix.
If you do go timber I think 70x35 hardwood is a better option than pine.

Ty mgilla, had a prob with ya meaning, maybe just a typo.

But i was planning on using mgp10 90 x 35 rafters with the top hat purlin as the battens.
Instead of using mgp10 for battens.
could you clear it up a bit for me

Sorry that was a bit of a convoluted answer. Should have read "If your putting blanket under the tin then go with top hat metal battens"
Your rafter size will be determined by the span so I dont know if 90x35 is suitable, there are span tables online that will tell you pretty quickly what you need.
