Rather than build onto our house, we are planning on turning our lounge into a master bedroom and the dining room into the ensuite. This will turn out 3 x 1 into a 4 x 2 with only internal modifications.
Has anyone else done this?

Re: Reshuffle our existing rooms 2Mar 24, 2014 1:56 pm Hi RachelP I haven't done this personally but the family of a friend did this years ago and really enjoyed the change. They had a two storey house with an upstairs living area and 3 bedrooms. Because they had 3 daughters, they changed the upstairs living area to a master bedroom and then had the other 3 bedrooms for the girls. They didn't have an ensuite though. It sounds to me like you have thought about this a bit. It also seems a lot less painful than the usual renovation stories. I wish you the best of luck with it. Cheers, Jenny.
