Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Feb 16, 2014 5:23 pm We have a 20 year old, brick on slab home. A doorway from the open plan living areas leads to a t junction and short hallway with a bathroom on the left and two bedrooms to the right. A 3rd bedroom is next to the bathroom but the entrance is via the living areas, not the hallway. The toilet and bedroom noise can be heard from the kitchen and drives me crazy. Does anybody have any suggestions for moving the entrance? Is it possible to move the dividing wall to widen the hallway, move the walls of the third bedroom to have the hallway entrance at that end? The goal is to cut down noise and increase privacy to these rooms. Re: Moving hallway entrance 2Feb 16, 2014 7:01 pm Wow! This is a bit tricky to understand only in words. Is there any chance of quickly drawing a scribble and posting it? Anything is possible once we understand the parameters. Cheers, Jenny Need hints, tips and inspiration? It would probably work out more effective for just a little bit more money. And yes I agree with Jena - a floorplan would be a big help.
