Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Feb 05, 2014 4:22 pm Hi all Just wondering how much does it approximately cost to change the carpet in 3 bedrooms including the cost of new carpet and laying. I am based in western suburbs of Melbourne and would like something which is mid range, just working out whether this renovation is worth it or not. Please let me know if someone is aware of any good carpet deals around Sunshine/St Albans area. Regards, Ali Re: Carpet for 3 bedrooms 3Feb 20, 2014 11:12 pm Hey there. It really depends on what carpet you want - high end quality or just something to cover the floors that will look nice and clean. If you want something more than your basic try going to the carpet stores and asking for remnants (ends pieces of the carpet roll). I carpeted two rooms with really expensive carpet and then got a guy out of the paper to do the fitting - carpet centres will always charge you more. I think I paid $150 for the fitting & $500 for the carpet fitting rooms 3X4m. Hope this helps Cheers Re: Carpet for 3 bedrooms 5Feb 21, 2014 8:40 am Just walk in a carpet store and select what you want and ask for a quote, this will give you a better idea. We got quoted for 4 bedrooms $5400 by our builder not the cheapest carpet ($65 per sqm at carpet court) but also not the most expensive range. Still comfy to walk on with bare feet and comes in a colour we do like. A "master" bedroom will depend on if it has a wir, but would be another 20% more (bigger) in most cases. You can pop into our Sunshine store to see various options. Faz is the franchisee to speak to. Hi, Have fun, remember bedrooms should feel relaxing and inviting, the last space you see before sleep and the first you see when you wake up. Make sure it makes you… 6 16014 1 10997 1 15729 |
