I will be tiling about 80% of my house and i just want to check i have it sorted out so the tiles meet up. As they go through 2 door ways that go around a corner. Here is a pic of the floor plan. Re: Tiling around a corner through 2 door ways 2Dec 15, 2013 9:39 am Are you doing the tiling ... ? While not a tiler I'd have thought best to get hall right - which might mean all door ways aren't perfect - but could be done as a second process to measure up. Cuts and stuff. Re: Tiling around a corner through 2 door ways 3Dec 15, 2013 11:08 am I agree with the above, but to me it looks like a hell of a lot of cuts. You've got cuts both sides of the long hallway. But I'm assuming the scale is not accurate otherwise the hallway is 60cm wide or less? I would have thought you'd run one up against that long wall. If you have 2 big pieces down both sides of the hall that's adding a LOT of tiles lost in offcuts. Re: Tiling around a corner through 2 door ways 4Dec 22, 2013 6:31 pm it seems like a reasonable plan of attack, i wouldn't be too upset about the extra waste of of tiles often you can reuse the 'off cut' for the other side also i like having a more symmetrical run.
