Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Oct 22, 2013 10:13 am I have a lowset weatherboard house in Northern suburbs Brisbane. Part of the house has brick pillars & single brick "wall" between the pillars. This part of the house is about 400mm above the ground. I've had two quotes - $13K and $22K to remove all the brickwork and replace with 20 concrete posts. I thought the $22K quote was a bit high, but I'm a bit worried about the large variation in prices, and the quality of the low quote. Both quotes were a sheet of hand written paper, but very little detail. Can anyone recommend a good restumping contractor? I guess he either has heaps of work, or only works on the southside. I spoke to one restumping contractor who said he wouldn't be able to do my job until Feb/March 2014. He claims all the good contractors are booked up for months, so maybe Jason Jonks is in the same situation.
