Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Sep 18, 2013 1:18 pm Hi everyone I'm after some advice about the exterior of my house. The house is a mix of weatherboard and red bricks, and the weatherboard is painted the same red as the bricks. It makes the house looks very much like a maroon box! I'm trying to weigh up the pro and cons of either just painting the whole exterior (thinking maybe dark grey with white trims) or cladding (that way maybe I can do a mix of materials?). I haven't really done my research in terms of the prices, but obviously that will affect the decision as well. Can anyone give me a rough guide on how much cladding will cost for an average 3 bedroom house? Looking forward to your responses Re: Painting or Cladding? 3Jan 21, 2014 5:06 pm Can you give us some detail information about it?..and Do not paint with an outdated brush and roller is a daunting task. You can use a basic technology called spray painting. It can make your painting task easy and quick.I suggest you to use The paint sprayer. Re: Painting or Cladding? 4Feb 26, 2014 12:58 pm Hey, I don't know about pricing but I looked into it for our place and yes cladding is durable, ages well etc. but we decided against. Cladding takes away the character from the home, it is noticeable that its not real wood up close and when we resell we want to be able to market our house as a 'traditional' queenslander. This is a huge decision, make sure you look at it from all angles. It's not an easy decision to make. Cheers Chris.
