The original house is brick, with white powder coated windows. The new extension replaced half of both sides of the original house and the entire front, almost like the back is old and the front is new (sliced right down the middle). Cladding choices: Brick with weatherboards to match existing gables Brick with matrix board to try to go from old to really new and sort of make a bold contrast rather than a tacky add on (but this could look tacky too!) Brick with a type of new style linear board, such as sycon's stria or Finesse? Brick on brick is not an option as we cannot source the same coloured bricks.
