Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Jun 06, 2013 10:16 pm Ok - so I'm having problems with the mortar between my bricks turning to dust in some parts of my house. I don't believe I have rising damp, I do have a saltwater pool at the rear of my house, but the bulk of the problems are at the front of the house. My house is built on a clay. I have no idea if this makes a difference. Has anyone had this problem and what lengths did you have to go to for repair?? Any advice on this would be helpful. Cheers T Re: Brick/mortar problems?? 7Jun 17, 2013 11:22 am There are a number of possible fixes but no advice can be given until the property is properly inspected. You should invest in a proper inspection and a report for the best outcome. If you are in Vic. you can PM me about inspection.
