We have a short but long (1 x ~12m) steel skillion roof that is on the other side of the wall from our bed and is very noisy when it rains.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to reduce the noise?
I've got a few ideas but have no details or plans at this stage.
The entire room is quite noisy in stormy weather so I have thought of removing all the plaster board and starting again with plenty of insulation then lining the room with 7mm ply followed by sound proofing plaster board.
Changing the roofing material to something that will absorb more noise, I was thinking of the system that the Southern Californian use, a vinyl type product.
Maybe some sort of shade structure instead of changing the roofing material might work.
